The smooth control pressure of the RazorControl system invites you to play tirelessly with the angle of attack. The wing provides very precise feedback with a clearly defined stall point. The easy take-off capability of the new wing concept is revolutionary. Even with a light tailwind, the sleek wing takes off effortlessly – without using the A-risers. This significantly simplifies the take-off phase. Technically mature, the RAZORBLADE cuts through air masses razor-sharp and without noticeable resistance. The self-stabilizing reflex canopy ensures reliability, especially at very high speeds. The full-speed position of the handles has been placed in an ergonomically accessible position. The purpose-developed Reflex wing combines all the advantages of a completely new generation of parakites. The aim was to significantly improve the relevant characteristics – the RAZORBLADE delivers speed, stability and launch behavior on a new level and thus opens up the next generation of the young parakiting game form. The noticeably firm stall point of the RAZORBLADE underlines the feeling of safety and reliability in every phase of flight. In fully accelerated flight, the RAZORBLADE is unbeatable and cuts through air masses completely without resistance. At the same time, the wing converts speed into height very effectively. Experienced speed and parakite test pilot Andi Hörterer is mainly responsible for the harmonious flight characteristics. In addition to the slope for high speed and deep dives, safety through high stability and the precise feedback of the canopy were of great importance to him. The RAZORBLADE appeals to a wide range of pilots. The balanced wing concept awakens the play instinct and takes soaring to a new level of fun. Just as the razor-sharp wing will inspire every speedflying pilot to experience precise proximity lines in a new speed dimension. RazorBlade: High-quality workmanship for maximum durability
In the material mix of the RAZORBLADE, particular emphasis was placed on durability and resistance. The PX30 and 20 material used combines weight management with maximum durability. U-Turn has developed the base material PX40 especially for the extreme demands of acrobatics. The design is deliberately geared towards the functionality of the material separation. Stiffer material is used in the highly stressed middle area to strengthen the wing. The RazorControlSystem riser uses the latest materials with maximum abrasion resistance. The double-braided HMPE line with Thermo Shield is perfect for working effortlessly on the high-quality Ronstan rollers with ball bearings. The ergonomic handles ensure a high level of comfort for unrestricted play with the elements.
Innovations
RazorBlade: Sharpened down to the last detail.
For over a year, chief consultant Ernst Strobl has been working intensively with speed test pilot Andi on the new RazorBlade wing concept. The synergies from kite development have been combined with decades of experience in extreme acrobatics. In addition, the RAZORBLADE development incorporates the concentrated experience of the current PROXI speed glider design, which will also open up a new era in the sector.
With the RAZORBLADE, Strobl is relying on the construction basis of its performance kite. Wafer-thin Nitinol reinforcements on the leading edge keep the profile shape under tension from the ground. In addition, 3D shaping (3DS) ensures optimized profile tension in the nose area. The High Pressure Crossport Design (HPCD) optimizes the cross-ventilation of the crossports and creates a balanced internal pressure of the sleek wing.
