The MITO 3 RS is the reliable school wing that guides student pilots safely from their first ground handling on the training hill to their first high flights – enabling fast, safe learning progress. As the robust variant of the MITO 3 RS D-LITE, it easily stands up to intensive school days and countless training courses – and quickly becomes your students’ favorite wing.
TRUST FIRST. SKILLS FOLLOW.
Trust is where progress begins. From the very first moment, the MITO3 RS behaves calmly, predictably and clearly. It takes away the nerves at launch, stays stable in the air and delivers exactly the feedback student pilots need to understand situations instead of just reacting to them. Security builds early – and from there, the first real piloting skills develop.
BUILT TO FORGIVE.
The wing doesn’t react nervously to mistakes – it smooths them out. Long brake travel, high passive safety and damped pitch and roll behavior make sure that small inputs don’t turn into big consequences. This is exactly the behavior considered essential for a beginner wing, because it lets student pilots learn maneuvers under control and expand their limits step by step. They’re not punished – they’re guided.
FROM ZERO TO FLOW.
The handling of the MITO3 RS is intuitive, direct and noticeably accelerates the learning process. It reduces complexity to the essentials: clean handling, unambiguous reactions, a stable canopy. The focus shifts faster from “What am I doing?” to “I’m flying.” That’s where real progress begins.
RAST. THE SILENT BACKBONE.
The MITO3 RS passes on exactly the canopy feedback beginners need and filters out everything unnecessary – even when conditions aren’t perfect. Turbulence damping and controllable pitch behavior deliver a calm, consistent flying sensation. Safety, without having to think about it.
FOR PILOTS. AND INSTRUCTORS.
A wing that thinks ahead takes the load off both sides. Fewer interventions from the instructor, more independent learning for the student. More effective flight time, fewer corrections, faster progress.
START EASY. STAY HOOKED.
The first flights decide everything. When a wing feels calm, controlled and trustworthy from the start, motivation follows. The MITO3 RS acts like a mentor: present, steady, supportive. Student pilots feel safe quickly – and exactly that feeling is what keeps them coming back.
Student pilots
From the first ground handling on the training hill to the first high flights – the MITO3 RS guides student pilots reliably through every stage of learning. Its intuitive handling, high passive safety and forgiving flight behavior build the confidence to approach new maneuvers step by step with self-assurance. The result: fast, safe progress – with no detours. And after the license, the same wing simply keeps flying.
Your companion. From day one to license
The MITO3 RS is built for intensive school use: reinforced materials, durable construction and balanced performance that easily withstand daily practice, hard takeoffs and intensive ground handling. From the training hill to the first high flight, it guides your students reliably through every stage of learning – and stays a wing they can keep growing with, long after the license.
Leisure pilots
After the license, the MITO3 RS remains a reliable partner. Relaxed gliding, cleanly cored first thermals, enough performance for growing ambitions – and full control at all times. A wing that carries instead of challenging, and precisely for that reason lets real flying pleasure emerge.
Flight schools
The ideal school wing for flight schools that need fast, safe learning results. The MITO3 RS forgives beginner mistakes, stays predictable and translates clear instructions into precise, clean responses. Robust materials and a durable construction easily withstand intensive school use – from ground handling on the training hill to the first high flights. You step in less often, your students learn faster – and after their license, they simply keep flying the same wing.
ROBUST. RELIABLE.
ROBUST TECHTEX 30D FABRIC
Upper and lower sails are made of Techtex 30D – a durable, resilient fabric that withstands years of intensive school use. More material, more reserves: no compromise on longevity, takeoffs, ground handling or packing cycles – exactly what a reliable school wing needs.

RAST - the silend Backbone
RAST divides the canopy internally via dedicated fabric panels – some with valves – into defined pressure sections, comparable to a bulkhead in a fuel tank. This deliberately directs and regulates airflow, both during inflation on launch and in flight.
In the event of pressure loss – for example during a canopy collapse – the CORE section stabilizes the internal pressure, while the outer BUFFER section absorbs incoming energy through controlled deformation. At the same time, RAST acts as an additional tension layer between the leading and trailing edges, reducing movement and delivering a calmer, more homogeneous flight picture. By linking the ribs across the full profile height, a stiffening structure is created – allowing conventional reinforcements to be reduced or replaced, at lower weight and unchanged stability.
What this means:
- The wing stays stable, even when conditions aren’t perfect. Calm, without having to think about it.
- No need to understand the technology to benefit from it – it simply works.
Nitinol Wires - for maximum profile accuracy and optimal launch behavior
Nitinol is a high-strength, temperature- and corrosion-resistant shape-memory alloy. The name is an acronym for Nickel Titanium Naval Ordnance Laboratory. SWING was one of the first paraglider manufacturers to adopt this material – known from medical technology – as a leading-edge reinforcement in paraglider construction.
On the MITO3 RS, the Nitinol reinforcements are sleeved inside nylon tubes. This increased the cross-section – and therefore the contact surface with the upper sail fabric – without giving up the beneficial properties (kink resistance, length and shape stability) of the memory material. The leading edge is therefore more resistant to premature wear and keeps its shape long-term.
Miniribs - for a homogeneous trailing edge
Ballooning at the trailing edge has a major influence on a paraglider’s performance, brake pressure and handling. Miniribs halve the cell spacing in this area and therefore reduce ballooning – for a homogeneous trailing edge.
The clever part:
The miniribs’ seams run on the inside of the upper sail, so that even on rough launch surfaces, no threads can catch on the ground and be pulled out.
3D-Shaping - for optimized aerodynamics
Controlled stress management via 3D-Shaping on the upper sail’s leading edge has become an industry standard in paraglider construction – keeping the aerodynamically critical areas as wrinkle-free as possible. Depending on the model, 3D-Shaping is applied in single or double form.
We complemented the standard 3D-Shaping with an additional 3D-Shaping on the trailing edge, in order to optimize the aerodynamic effect of the miniribs.
Simple line layout and riser with SWING Duo Grip brake handles
For maximum clarity, all line galleries are reduced to three clearly separated riser levels. This makes sorting easier, creates structure and ensures intuitive handling – from ground handling to takeoff. An extended A-riser supports the pilot during inflation, improves control in the launch phase and provides extra clarity – exactly when it matters most.
The line mix of modern, matched materials combines length stability with low drag and high everyday practicality.
The robust risers with 20 mm webbing are fully color-coded and designed for longevity in school use. They offer balanced stiffness and a precise, direct feel for controlled ground handling, clean takeoffs and maximum clarity in every phase of flight.
The ergonomic SWING Duo Grip brake handles enable fatigue-free steering, and the magnetic Fidlock fastening ensures easy, reliable storage of the brake handles – both when packing and before launch.
Color-coded line set and riser connections to minimize mix-ups.
The entire line set, line geometry and risers are fully color-coded. This provides maximum clarity during ground handling and especially in the launch phase, minimizes mix-ups and makes orientation easy from day one. The connection loops are clearly marked as well, so it is instantly visible whether the risers are correctly attached to the harness.
