Aira is a lightweight, minimalist recreational harness designed for pilots who value simple construction, low weight and a small pack size.
Aira may be an interesting option for pilots who have appreciated the simplicity and accessibility of the Mia, but now expect a more modern design, lower weight, better packability and the option to add extra features to the harness.
The split seat design and reinforced back support ensure a high level of comfort whilst maintaining a low overall weight. The harness weighs 705 g in size M without a protector. It is fitted with a back pocket with a capacity of approx. 10 l in size M. There are attachment points on the outside of the pocket for an action camera mount. Aira is available in three sizes: S, M and L.
The optional Aira airbag features a Nitinol stiffener, which helps it retain its shape and partially inflate during the early stages of the deployment process. This allows the airbag to activate sooner than a conventional airbag, which relies solely on air intake during deployment. The airbag is not included in the standard harness set and must be ordered separately.
The harness is designed to accommodate the special Aira Speed System, which comprises a speed bar with lines, Allen 20 pulleys, stoppers and fastenings. The reserve parachute can be fitted using the optional Light 90/110 front container, which attaches directly to the harness’s carabiners. The Aira Speed System and the Light 90/110 front container are available separately, as is the Aira airbag.
