Two days of snowkiting on the Wasserkuppe

Learn the basics of snowkiting in two days! This course is our recommendation for all those who want to try snowkiting for themselves with professional guidance. The aim of the course is to learn how to kite your first short distances on your own. This course is also ideal as a snowkite taster course for anyone who wants to get to know the fascinating sport of snowkiting for the first time!

Course contents

The basic snowkite course lasts two days with 4 hours per day, including 3 hours of practice per day. The course always starts on the first day at 11 am at the Papillon Flugcenter, directly at the spot on the Wasserkuppe.

Day 1: Kitehandling

• Launching/landing

Day 2: The first riding experience

• Driving manoeuvres with the kite

What you should bring

You can bring your own skis, snowblades or snowboard or rent them from us at a reasonable price. With different kite sizes we cover the complete weight range from light to heavy weight. We provide you with the complete kite equipment for the whole course at no extra cost.

You should bring winter sports appropriate, warm clothing (for example jumper, ski overall, finger gloves, ski goggles...). Normal physical fitness is sufficient. The effort required is comparable to skiing.
